Testimonials

“Coming from a Christian background, the Bahá’í Faith taught me about Life After Death and our Covenant with God in a way which was a fulfillment of Christ’s teachings.”

Ted

“It was very attractive and liberating to me to learn that there is no clergy in the Bahá’í Faith, especially as I grasped that it was my responsibility to undertake an individual investigation of the truth rather than just accept what others had told me.”

Brian

“The Bahá’í Faith expressed principles I already knew in my heart to be true; I knew people who shared these ideas but never knew that I would find it in an organized group. The support and positiveness that I saw toward the members was inspiring. When I learned of what they were doing with youth and junior youth around the world it was a confirmation that I came to the right place.”

Nancy

“An impressive observation I made was how Bahá’ís strive to do good without expecting anything in return.”

Teachings

Oneness of God

Oneness of God

The Bahá’í view of God is monotheistic. God is the imperishable, uncreated being who is the source of all existence. He is described as “a personal God, unknowable, inaccessible, the source of all Revelation, eternal, omniscient, omnipresent and almighty”. God’s image is reflected in His creation. The purpose of creation is for the created to have the capacity to know and love its creator.

Oneness of Religion

Oneness of Religion

The Bahá’í teachings state that there is but one religion which is progressively revealed by God, through prophets/messengers, to mankind as humanity matures and its capacity to understand also grows. The outward differences in the religions, the Bahá’í writings state, are due to the exigencies of the time and place the religion was revealed. Bahá’u’lláh claimed to be the most recent, but not the last, in a series of divine educators which include Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Krishna and others.

Oneness of Humanity

Oneness of Humanity

The Bahá’í writings teach that there is one humanity and all people are equal in the sight of God. The Bahá’í Faith emphasizes the unity of humanity transcending all divisions of race, nation, gender, caste, and social class, while celebrating its diversity. `Abdu’l-Bahá, Bahá’u’lláh’s son and successor, states that the unification of mankind has now become “the paramount issue and question in the religious and political conditions of the world.” Bahá’í writings affirm the biological, political, and spiritual unity of mankind.
