Ascension of Bahá’u’lláh

Friday, May 27th/ Morning of Saturday, May 28th @ 1am

With a message of peace and unity for the world, Bahá’u’lláh was nevertheless under house arrest when He became ill and ascended from this mortal realm, only 124 years ago, in 1892. Bahá’u’lláh knew that He was going to be departing from this world, and so six days before He died, He called His followers to Himself so that He could give them one final Message. He instructed them to be united, even after His passing, and to continue serving humanity and worshipping God as He had taught them to do. After He died, the mourning of His followers continued for over a week and people from other faiths, such as Christians, Jews, and Muslims streamed in joining them, recognizing the loss of a great Man. The commemoration takes place during the exact hours of His passing.
